Take control of your own narrative

I think something we all need to remember is that even when it seems like everything’s going wrong, we are the authors of our own narratives . We are in control of our outlook on life, our emotions and reflections towards our environment and our attitudes towards anything that comes our way. Even when it looks like everything is going wrong, we are in control for catching that voice of negativity and turning it around, re-wording outlooks and thoughts to make ourselves better because, and I truly believe this, what we constantly think about, complain about, worry about, we give power . When you’re constantly complaining about a situation, you are giving that situation power over you and your life! And this process can take days, weeks or even months to gradually change your outlook on your own narrative but if you practice and practice, you’ll be able to catch yourself falling back into this habit and snip it within a couple of hours. So take control of your own narrative! And mak

The Universe is watching, waiting & listening.

Sometimes change is good even though in the moment it may seem as if everything is falling apart,  but once the storm is over you will realize yet again that it was actually for the best and that's when things starts to balance itself out... In the end that change you once feared in that particular moment turns out to be a great and one of the best things that has ever happened to you whether you wanted it or not. The universe is watching, waiting, listening and takes action at the appropriate time. There are always consequences to every action whether good or bad... so always throw out good karma by being grateful for every day life has to offer even lessons learned, continue to be kind to others by showing respect or even giving a small compliment, or just call someone in your inner circle and tell them you love them and how much you care. Last but not least learn to let go, holding on can cause so much emotional turmoil inside especially when it involves someone who doesn'

The Ultimate Sacrifice

Martin Luther King Jr. sacrificed his life so that we as African Americans/Black people could have the life that we are blessed with in this day and age. He didn't sacrifice his life for us to make excuses on why we can't do this or that or to rob, steal, especially KILL one another...He gave his life for us to succeed in life and exceed all others expectations...He gave his life for us to come together as a people and lift each other up not to bring each other down. He gave his life so that we could educate ourselves so that we could become Drs, Lawyers, Teachers, & anything else of high standard not for us to become illegal drug dealers or any type of criminals for that matter. He gave his life so that we could live the "American Dream" with our own home, car and job not for us to live behind bars just existing. We need to show our appreciation to Dr King & come up as a people and be not just the best but the GREATEST that we were born to be.
