I just had a birthday on April 22 which makes me 36...to some it's time to party and celebrate another year of life...to others it's a day of memories, appreciation for life lessons and the people, places, things and circumstances that made you the person that you are today!
A Facebook friend put something on my time line that put somethings on my mind in regards to life and the special meaning of HAPPY BIRTHDAY:
Everyone always says the same thing on your birthday. "Happy Birthday!", "Have a great one!", "Enjoy your day!", "HBD!"
Instead, today I want you to take a moment to reflect and actually think about what happened on this day, so many years ago, in the lives of your parents, your family, their friends. People who had been congratulating your mom and watching her belly grow with life for 9 months finally got to meet the precious baby that was miraculously brought into this world, sculpted by God Himself.
On this day, you were the main attraction. Smiles rained down on you, people asked permission to hold you, nurses and doctors took special time to make sure that you were as perfect as your parents already knew you were.
And now, here you are, years later, celebrating your LIFE. The beginning of your EXISTENCE on this Earth. Take some time to reflect on what you have accomplished, the things you still have yet to do, the people you have affected. Today, I celebrate you. In all your uniqueness, with all your little flaws, imperfections, the things that make you special. It truly is a day to celebrate. Congratulations on entering and making your mark on this world.
